Our Church is also the home of the Coal Valley Food Pantry.  The Food Pantry’s goal is to serve the community of Coal Valley by providing food to those families who may be living without enough.

The Food Pantry is located at First Presbyterian Church, 2431 1st Street in Coal Valley.  The Food Pantry is a joint effort by the St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, the Trinity Lutheran Church, and the First Presbyterian Church.

The hours are Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m.  You can contact the Food Pantry with any questions you might have by calling (309) 799-3511.   If you are low on food and would like to visit the Food Pantry, you need only to drop by during the open hours and bring with you a picture ID, and a piece of correspondence such as a water bill or an energy bill that confirms that you live in or near Coal Valley. Due to Covid 19, we ask that you call the church when you arrive. Volunteers will take your information, provide you some food options and bring the items outside for you to load into your vehicle.

The Coal Valley Food Pantry is proud to sponsor programs above and beyond providing food to eliminate hunger issues in Coal Valley.  During the Christmas Season, those who apply can receive a generous Christmas basket.  The Christmas baskets are a joint effort by the Food Pantry and the Coal Valley Lion’s Club. Applications will be accepted in November.

If you would like to make a donation (Either monetary or non-perishable food) to help eliminate hunger Issues in Coal Valley, simply contact the Food Pantry at the phone number given above.
